Default Quick detailer question

Under what circumstances should or can I use a quick detailer product? For example, is it ok to use after driving when the car isn't dirty but has some bug residue on the hood. Can it be used to spot clean? Thanks for any help.

Quick detailing was developed for those times when your vehicle needs fast complete waxing or a touch-up between regular waxing, or the removal of fingerprints and for road dust / debris. From daily commute driver to concourse show car, QD is quick and easy to use.

Default Caution!

QD type products are great, and I love Zaino's new Z8. However, any dust, dirt, debris, etc., on the paint will be "ground in" if not removed first, and result in swril marks. If it's just dusty, use something like a California Duster. Bugs should be removed with soap and water, or as a minimum a wet towel.

Mike,

I wrote this a while back, and may help. With the newer "Waterless Washes" available currently, I might need to do an update soon.

My car has a couple of coats of Zainos polish on it. When I get home from driving my car, I check for bugs. If I notice any, I use one of those premoistened "car wash" towlettes and the bugs wipe right off. (I get those things at a Dollar Store) The bugs do not stick to the Zainos polished surface, but I would not take a chance on leaving them on the paint for long. On long trips I use the car bra. I only use detailer to brighten the shine for an event.
