Random Orbital Buffer
I have a Sears Random Orbital Buffer which is probably 15 years old, but seem limited use. I know that members recommend Porter-Cable buffers, but is the Sears Ranfom Orbital Buffer OK to use, and what type of pad should I use?
Thanks for the advice

NXT is not at all the same as a thick wax product. You take VERY little product and it will spread over a HUGE area of the car, if you use a nice foam applicator pad like the one that comes with it. It's so fast and easy to apply, a buffer is not necessary.
do the whole car at once, even walk away and eat a sandwhich to be sure the whole car has had time to dry. if you don that, it will come off instantly with a MF towel, or I frequently use cotton T-shirts to remove it. It will come off so fast, again, that a buffer is not needed.
you might consider using a polish and then a sealant before you NXT, and in those steps the buffer might be helpful.
