Default Help!! Drove through freshly painted lines

Started an epic road trip today and every thing was fine till I checked in for the day and saw I had driven thought some fresh white road paint.

I was able to get a lot of it off, but where it was very think, I couldn't. Keep in mind, I'm traveling so I don't have all day to pick this stuff off with my fingernails. What should I do? If I wait till I get home 10+ days from now, will it come off?

White on black is not a good combo...

I cannot think of much you can do while traveling, as you will probably need to polish the paint and then rewax or seal. That said, might wanna find some goof-off at a local store and see if it can remove those spots.

I would stop and buy a clay kit like Mother's or Clay Magic at an auto parts store that has the spray lube in the kit, find a self service car wash, or use a wet towel and wipe the area where the paint is, use the lube and clay and your problem should be fixed.

Thanks guys. I'll see if I can find some goog off. The stuff is so think in places, the clay won't touch it until I get some of it off. Sure glad I had a recent coat of wax. Where it was thin it just wiped off.

Thanks again.

I have had the best luck with a hot water pressure washer set to about 175 degrees. But be carefull if you get it too close it is possible to remove the cars paint, but should remove every spec of road paint in about 2 minutes. I have also been able to remove road paint with a plastic razor blade or similar scraper which could be found at a cooking store. The longer it sits on the car the harder it is to remove so whatever you do it should be asap.

is goof off safe for the actual clear coat?
I was using some today in the garage, and was afraid to let any get on the Vette.
