Clay Bar
Can anyone tell me if you can go out and just buy a clay bar without buying the whole kit? If so, where and how much? Does it have to be a certain kind of clay? Thanks.

Go to a local auto paint supply shop and get some "overspray clay"
Same thing for 1/10th the cost and you get 10 times more.

for a kit, I just get meguiar's - you'll end up using the entire bottle of quick detailer anyway, after 4 or 5 clay treatments -- you really do need it.

I picked up a Mother's kit to do mine cars this weekend. Was a little disappointed in the size of the clay bar. About the size of the original pak of Dentine chewing gum. Expected something about the size of a deck of cards. I think I'll be stopping by the auto paints place to see what they have next time.
