Default Keeping It Clean.......

My Black C6 always looks Show ready when I leave my House. Thanks to Zaino!

But when I travel for an Hour or more my Car looks dirty.

Have had several other Black Cars/Trucks but I'm Paranoid about running C6 through a Car Wash.

I've got a Calif. Duster but try to use it if there is only a very, very light layer of dust.

What do you all do?

No miracle cures as far as I know. Just wash often, luckily the Vette is easy and fast to wash.

I took mine on a road trip to Missouri in March and washed it every morning before hitting the road, for that "Fresh as a Daisy feeling"(sorry Summers Eve).

One day I had to wash it 3x because of rain and truck, dirt and the like.
I would rather do that than drive a dirty Black car.

I had a black Z06, and it was very difficult to keep clean.

California duster every day. I used Quick Detailer after to get any bug spots, water splashes, etc. And, with the terrible brake dust on the C5 Z06, I also wiped down the wheels every day.

I finally tired of this and bought a DSOM C6.

Return the car to your dealer immediately, preferably covered and on a flat bed to avoid having road dust scratch the black paint, and trade it in for a YELLOW one. Oh, yeah, yellow shows a little bit of dirt, too, but people are usually so dazzled by the color and awed by the righteousness of the owner of such a magnificently hued automobile, no one notices the dirt. :o

I keep my Vert outside but I cover it if I'm not driving it. In order to prevent any scratches I use the california duster and then use a spray cleaner to get rid of any dead bugs on the front. I then cover it. I wash it once a weekend and tend not to drive it in the rain. I've put 3500 miles on it in 2 and half months and it has never looked dirty yet. The maintenance is pretty simple and doesn't take long at all if you keep it up.

One reason I have a lighter color...... you will always fight that element of dust etc....

Zaino helps....but doesnt cure... I use an indoor cover in teh garage which helps the garage dust....

and I would NEVER run my C6 through a car wash...thats just me...

I was at a car wash the other day with my Toyato Camry. A C6 was in line a few cars ahead of me. I later spoke to the owner and she said there had been no problems taking it there.

Very much unlike a C5 for sure.

I take my black coupe through a touchless carwash every time im too lazy to handwash......which is most of the time. No problems, just do a good wax now and then.

You might also consider a waterless wash such Poorboy's Spray & Wipe. It does great with light dust, etc.

Default Unless it is a garage queen it is just about impossible to keep it clean and free of

scratches n blemishes..as eventually you end up with them from somewhere or some place.

Just use the Z-6 if the dust is very light. If a little more dust is there just use a duster and then the Z-6 or the new Z-8.

I like ProtectAll QEW better than the spray products as I think it is a safer method but recommend you use caution and common sense with any of these products ESPECIALLY on black.
