Ive got a 01 Quicksilver Vert, I have some paint chips that the previous owner did a crappy job repairing and a couple of scratchs on the trunk lid that dont seem to want to come out. What I want to know is there something I can put on before the Zaino that will help the shine. I also have a orbital hand buffer is that going to help me and if so when should I use it, to apply the wax or take it off or what??
Pick up some Zaino Fusion (ZPC), it is Zaino's version of scratch and swirl remover and it will remove any minor imperfections and leave you paint ready/perfect for Zaino to bond to it.
Wash
Claybar to remove surface contamination
Wash
Polish with abrasive and/or cleaner as necessary to remove swirls, etc.
Wax/Seal
Claying and polishing is where you can really enhance the depth, shine, and color of your finish. If you're using Zaino, they make a new polish/paint cleaner called Z-PC Fusion that will help you with prepping the paint.
I have a clay bar but never really used it much, I know you use it in conjunction with water. Is it just a quick once over or do you really spend alot of time with it on the surface?? Well I got a reply right as I posted so I guess Ill try the baggie test first.
