That's just the way it is. I purchased the Mother's "no sling" tire shine. You put it on, let it dry for about 10 min, and then wipe off the excess. Guess what, the "no sling" Mothers tire shine, slings.

zaino makes the only stuff i have seen that does not fly off.But you got to let it dry for about 30 minutes in a fairly warm climate
Turtle Wax F21 in the Green bottle is the best.
I have used just about all of them.
Any "clear" tire shine will spray all over your Vette. Dont use the clear stuff, it sucks.
I apply F21 away from the C6 on an Eagle One tire shine applicator. F21 dries & stays on tires with no splatter.
RejeX & F21, a perfect combination

Believe it or not, I have found that the tire dressing isn't the only factor in whether or not it will "sling". The tire makes a difference too. Many Goodyear tires have a jillion "ribs" running around the sidewall. This creates grooves that the stuff builds up in.
Another factor is if you are building up layers of tire dressing. Try cleaning the tires first with a good degreaser (like Simple Green or Dawn detergent). Then dry the tire really good (by driving it a mile or so to sling all the water off). THEN apply the dressing and let it sit over night.
Stoners More Shine and Less Time is a great product...doesn't give tires that shiney over dressed look and when applied correctly (other words not using to much) does not 'sling'... also their Trim Shine is great for engine compartments...

Forever Black Tire Gel - applied with an applicator, silicone and oil free, does not attract dust, dries fast leaving a matte-like satin finish, won't sling off tires, lasts a long time. I've used it for several years with excellent results.

Mother's Reflections and FX Tire Shine are spray dressings that do not sling. Reflections is a matte finish, FX is glossy. Pinnacle Black Onyx is another good choice but again, it is fairly matte.
One key is to apply the dressing sparingly. Contoured applicators help. It should not take more than 1.5 1/8" bead of dressing on the applicator for one full size tire, even less for low profiles such as those on the Corvette.
To be honest I have used tons of dressings out there. I have found that if you apply with a sponge/applicator...and let it dry you will have no sling. I have been using Megs Hot Tire Shine in the spray bottle. Put it on with a sponge and have never had a problem. For shows when I want a matte appearance I use Hi-Temps...Grape Tire Dressing. Great stuff...nice matte finish. All 4 tires are dry in 10 mins. Factory fresh look.
for a soft matte appearance look no further than 303 protectant. If you would like something darker and glossier, then look to Poorboys Bright and Bold. Finally if you want the glossiest look, the Pinnacles Black Onyx Gel and Wolfgangs Wheel Gel. Going with anything in aerosol form (Stoners) can blow back on paint, but works well on the wheel wells to make them look new.

I use Aerospace 303 protectant or zaino perfect tire gloss.
In both cases I apply it to an Eagle 1 tire sponge and use that to apply it to the tire... Use sparingly and you won't get slinging
I use Pinnacle black onyx tire gel on a clean dry tire. All you need is a VERY thin application and I dont have a sling problem and it has good durability and the look is bright and wet.
