What products and pads are you using?

2'x2' area. side to side and up and down.

Apply product to the pad first with a ring around about 1" from the edge. After that apply product direct to paint with five dime size dots.

Start by spreading the sealent or wax with the PC off. Then start out at 3.5 and move up to 5 to finish.

Remove by hand with MF or 100% cotton towel.

great advice above.
I'd suggest 3.5 just for wax. you really don't need much speed. Personally I don't put any wax directly on the vehicle - it splatters too much that way. I only apply to the pad itself.

The PC fails to transfer heat like a rotary buffer does, and well, we dont really use wool pads for quick cutting ability on the PC. So in order to polish and remove or reduce marring/spiderwebbing youll need some addtl speed. So here is my general rule of thumb:

PC -- 3000 - 4500 rpms
Rotary --- 750 - 2000 rpms

(also follow the polishes directions as well as possible, as some are created to do some of the work for you)
