Default MeGuiars Quick Detail

Used Quick Detail first time today and really liked it!! Washed car few days ago so car was clean but made it look like fresh wax job! Also bought California Dash duster which works great too.

I like the stuff too. Seems to work well with most waxes. Even works well on Zaino, to remove small spots of dirt or bird poo. But not recommended to coat the whole car with it if you use Zaino.

Also try Meguiars #34 Final Inspection - I've always suspected that it was the same product as the quick detailer. See what you think. Maybe it will give you an even greater boost in shine ?

My DRY cleaning consists of the California Duster followed by Maguiers Detailer using mircro fiber towels. I only wash my car when it rains and after track events which comes out to about every 4 weeks or so.

I hit the new Rejex with Quick Detailer today and it worked great

I tried the deep crystal 123 system when i bought vette 10/05 and had good results with that too, used microfibre towels . Wish i would have clay barred first but wasnt familiar with it then. That will be the next thing i try. By the way my '89 is black and factory paint is in really good shape!

If you use quick detailer over rejex or any other sealant, do you have to strip everything off if you want to put another coat of sealant on later?

I prefer Z6 but if I had to use a generic QD it would probably be ClearKote Quick Shine or Adams.

California Dusters are awesome but you need to exercise common sense when using them. If I driven my car I usually will not use the CD on it but they are great for when the car is sitting in the garage and gets dusty. Of course my car is black, lighter color cars can probably get away with alot more. Make sure you do not use too much pressure, I just let the tips breeze over the surface.

no - your regular auto shampoo will surely remove anything the quick detailer puts on. So I think it's safe to assume the quick detailer is removed after a wash. Just wash and then put your next sealant layer on

I use the Meguire's spray over my Zaino. It works great. It works good with claybars also.

The diff between Quik Detailer and #34 Final Inspection is #34 does not contain silicones and, therefore, is body shop safe. There is also a diff in fragrance and probably coloring.

For most of us, Quik Detailer works fine and is plenty safe. For an alternative try Mothers Showtime instant detailer (smells like cinnamon) or Eagle One Wipe & Shine.

I used Meguiar's Quick Detailer and Quick Wax for years until I found Zaino. In my opinion the Z6 and Z8 are a much superior product. Easy to use and great shine. The Z8 is especially slippery and gives a fantastic shine.
