Default DP Surface Shield

Hey guys!

On one of my orders from Autogeek, I received a free bottle of this Detailers Pride Premium Surface Sheild. I take it this stuff is a sealant, correct? I am leaving Thursday night to head down to Florida for a bit over spring break and I am about to start detailing my car, FINALLY, and was wondering if this would be a good sealant to put on before my Souveran Paste?

I just ordered the 2 polishes from Menzerna, cause Chuck wouldnt shut up about them (I hate peer pressure ) and am gonna do those plus the full Pinnacle line (shampoo, clay, lotion, wax)

So just lemme know if you think I should add this surface shield before the wax for longer protection or not. Thanks for all the help guys!

Yes, a sealant before applying a carnuaba will help with durability. You will love the Menzerna polishes, they are one of the best.

yes it is a pure paint sealant and should be used alone, or with a carnuba topper (not the other way around). Since you are heading to Florida (Autogeeks and my stomping ground) just one hint, do not apply in direct sunlight. And if possible allow to cure 24 hours prior to the carnuba. Its pretty glossy and reflective on its own .... good luck on the trip !

Thanks guys! I hope to put on the sealant around 1am or so, then put on the wax sometime tomorrow afternoon. Hope it turns out good!

Is there anyway when I come to FL that I can get some products from an actual building of Autogeeks? I need a few things, and would like to get past the shipping charges if possible.

Call Jason at the toll-free number .... I am sure he can work something out for you. When we had Detailfest there last year, we all got a special discount, no shipping charges, and some take home goodies to try. Its in Stuart Fl (just south of W Palm) to consider area. Bob, Jason, and the girls are very nice hosts indeed.
