I have been lurking here for awhile reading all the posts on detailing.
Thanks for all the great shared info. I ordered the PC/PoorBoys kit from autogeek, came in yesterday.
Be prepared for newbie questions as I have never really detailed my car other than wax by hand.

You got two great combos for a newbie, that PC I find very user friendly. And the PB line is preatty simple to figure out.

With the PoorBoys package I have light abrasive swirl remover SR1 and medium super swirl remover SSR2.5. Should I start with light then move to medium like a 2 step process? I have a fair amount of scratches and swirls, should I just start with the medium?
After using the swirl remover do I need to seal it with another product or can I finish by waxing?
Thanks in advance.

Always use the least aggressive method possible. Use a test spot to determine the right pad/polish combination.

Once you're finished polishing and are satisfied with the outcome, you can seal and/or wax as you like.

Poorboys SSR 1.0 is really more of a jeweling or last stage product. It is not going to remove alot of swirls or marring. So while I completely agree with Zane and start slow and move to harder polishes as necessary, based on your comment it appears you will need to start with the SSR 2.5. Remember to follow up once the car looks as you want it, with a final pad (grey) and the 1.0 to jewel the surface. Your going to love the look of Nattys and Spray and Gloss together ... they will seal and protect your hard work for months, yet so easy to use, you will find yourself reapplying it often.
