Porter Cable Question
Do you wash out the wax after using (which I have done)? I just got a new C6 Black Coupe - Im having detailing nightmares already! Anybody with black cars chime in. Thanks for any responses.
*I* prefer Lake Country pads and Menzerna polishes (and ZPC Fusion).
Yellow - Cutting pad - remove severe defects with light compound or heavy polish (usually cause micromarring on dark colors)
Orange - Light cutting - remove moderate to severe defects with light compound or medium to heavy polish (possible light micromarring)
White - Polishing - remove mild swirl marks and micromarring with light to medium polish or SMR
Black/Grey - Finishing - high gloss burnishing and application of glaze, wax, or sealant
Wash them immediately after use and replace when they degrade.

It'll be a good idea for you to also state the specifics of your problem, so that others can also provide input, and recommendation on products that will help.

With the exception of the yellow pads, I do not use them, I think they are too firm and leave too much micro marring.
I also use Meguiars pads.

a couple orange and a couple grey minimum. I use of DP Rejuvinating Pad Cleaner and they look like new. Seems to work for me:
