Default Clear Coat

Any one herad of letting the clear coat "cure?" My car is only a week old, and I made the mistake of cleaning a spot with my fingernail. IN doing so left some superficial scratches in the clear coat. What's the best way to fix it, should I just buff it out? Thanks in advance.

Meguiar's ScratchX should help.

Your paint is fully cured by the time you get it. Nonetheless, it's pretty vulnerable.

Try a light paint polish.

For a tiny area, I'd use 3M #39002 by hand with a terry towel. That's what I use for my motorcycle and it's great for just a spot fix, or to apply with your finger and work around pin striping etc. I'm sure it will fix it for you as it has for me many times. It does take some work, but for a small area can be done without buying a PC.
