I recently purchased the Intensive polish and final polish. While I did not have any problems applying the final polish the intensive polish seemed to dry almost instantly. I used a dacp at a setting of about 5 and after working it in for about 30 seconds it dried so hard I had difficulty removing it. I followed the directions exactly from the brochure that came with the product. I moistened the pad and applied it to a cool surface. The only thing i can think of was that the temp in my garage was about 80 degrees.
Interesting observation as I noticed the same thing this last weekend only w/ FP. I had used both IP and FP last summer and was really impressed at how easy they came off. However I was running my pc at 3 1/2 as per a lot of recommendations. This time though I was running 5 1/2 as have read comments about getting better results w/ the higher speed. I'm not an expert and probably did something wrong but would the higher speed work it in faster?? I really didn't do anything differently than the speed and noticed a big diff. Would be curious to hear from someone who has some suggestions.

I had a few dry days here in the Florida winter and it dries FAST! I spray the pad with 2 shots of water then put the IP on.. Just as I see it drying I stop and wipe it..
The best for me is during a rain storm outside I am in the garage with the humidity up high! the polish works best then..
I misted the pad with water and I put 2 8 inch lines of product on the car spread it around with the pad before turning the polisher on. I was thinking of adding water to the bottle of polish.
I noticed that it will get real thick on me and in turn does not work well on my finish. I have since changed to PO106FF which is a little bit milder but I mostly use it with a rotary so not a big deal for me.
Well, I was all set to order some Menzerna. After hearing this, maybe I should buy something else. Living in Arizona, we have both heat and low humidity, which will probably cause Menzerna to dry even faster than reported.
What would be a good alternative to Menzerna IP & FP that would not tend to dry up so fast?

I would go with PO106FF. It is a little stronger than FPII but still finishes up real nice. You could probably get away with just the 106ff instead of both IP and FPII.
You could also go with Zaino Fusion instead of the FPII, they are about the same strength.
I also like Chemical Guys CGC1 and Lazer Buff. They are supposed to be very similair to another product you here about on here a lot.
I also here good about the Optimum polish but have only tried their OHC and OC.
3m is always good.
I will be honest though, the Menzerna products are one of my favorites, especially the Ceramic line. The new Blackfire polish BFFP that was just released in place of the PO85RD is also pretty good.
In summary the FPII is easy to be replaced but of course is the one that nobody is having problems with. You are looking for a replacement for the IP and I have found most things are either more or less aggressive than the IP which seems to be a mid range polish. What are you using it with, a PC or Rotary?
I use IP in high temperatures and low humidity without problems, but the bottle I have is a couple of years old. Maybe there's something different about the newer stuff.?.

Do you want to get rid of that old IP Zane? Let me know what it will take.
Or on a more serious note, do you want to trade 2ozs for 2ozs and see if it really is a different?

I ran low on my IP it was getting hard to shake it to the spout.. I poured a very small bit of water into the bottle and shook it.. The consistency was actually a perfect pour!!! in fact it was Much easier to work with on the paint and fished up nice..
I think I am gone remix my next new bottle... I'll use some spare ZFX bottles to mix it up with a bit of water..
