Black tire material transfer, on leather seats!
I left a couple of new tires, in the back seat of my 88 Lincoln. Dumb move, the tires transfered black marks to the leather seat.
So far, I have tried 409, 30% bleach/water solution and oxyclean carpet cleaner. No luck. Next I'll try hairspray(removes ballpoint ink), maybe acetone. I test first on the drivers seat, which is shot.
ANY IDEAS?
God Bless America!

I posted this on C5 general and should have been HERE. I have exactly the same problem as Mike. A tire wheel combo was stored on my passenger C-5 tan leather seat. [salvage yard move] The black from the tire transferred to the leather. I will try Murphy's oil soap as Legaleagle prescribed.
Anyone here have any additional advice? ---- ----

I'd try 3m adhesive remover (test an area first), and magic eraser.

Well I give up!!
Mike, how's your leather doing? I tried Murphy's oil soap, Superclean, Mr.Clean magic eraser, vasaline, spray nine, lacquer thinner [scary] nothing helped
Has anyone ever used Corvette America interior dyes? I think that is the next step.
