waxing
i used some turtle wax on my car, i waxed it in my garage when it was cool, (my cars black) and it seemed to leave a oily residue the next day in the light, a visible residue, looked like when you see water in parking lots and its got oil/gas in it and it looks like rainbow water or somethin, after 2 washes it was gone but i imagine the waxe is also gone, was primarily on the hood, any one know what woulda made it do that?

A lot of products, especially carnuaba type products contain a lot of oils and cause this. This was one of the main reasons I switched to Zaino, tired of seeing that oily, smeary and milky look until after it was washed. And after a few washes it is gone and needed to be re-applied.
