Maybe? I know I got the PC 7336 from Lowes last year and it works great. Is this the one you're talking about? I don't think I've ever seen a model 7335. If it is the 7336 then all you need is a velcro backing plate and the appropriate pads and polishs.
Just a couple days ago I too got a Porter Cable 7336 from Lowes. Maybe you could go to the Porter Cable website and look up an owners manual archived for your sander/polisher and compare specs to the 7336 which I see is also the same as the 7424.
Check out this website. They have supplies you can order such as the back plates....pads....etc. My 7336 did come with a foam pad so I just had to purchase some bonnets which I did at Pep Boys....or was it Murray Discount Auto....I was at both the otherday.
Yes, get a velcro backing plate and foam pad and you are set. I think the 7335 has 5" counter weight, if you notice a lot of vibration you may want to pick up a 6" counter weight for it.

It seems like this thread comes up often enough with no definitive anwser. It seems like alot of guys use the 7424. I still can't decide whether to get the 7424 or the 7336. The only difference appears to be that you get a polishing pad with the 7336 which, from what I hear is junk. Which one do I get?

The 7224 HAS A 5" BALANCING DISK. The 7336 HAS A 6 INCH DISK.
7224 and 7336 seems to be the same other than the disks one is a balancing disk and the other a 6 inch disk. I would think that the balancing disk is more important.
What are the price differences?
