Simoniz System 5

I just got this from the dealer when I bought my new C6. Has anyone else purchased this add-on? They advertise it as a "permanent" wax and the company warranties your paint and finish against most things. After the treatment, the car looked a thousand times better! My question is, has anyone had any problems with this service? Do you recommend waxing over it?

the only premanant wax is clear coat it self. other than that nothing is. just polish and wax as you normally would. That wax from the dealer should last you anywhere from a month to 5 months depending on how you drive and the environment you are in.

Yeah... all it really is, is some cheap wax with a fancy treatment name.... I'VE DONE HUNDREDS when I worked at the chev dealer....

How much did you pay for it??

I didn't pay much at all, but if its cheap stuff I payed too much anyway. At least it came with a 5 year warranty.

What are the conditions of the warranty? How often does it have to be reapplied?
