Default Turtle Wax "ICE"--Have you tried it?

I was checking to see if any one has tried this wax/polish? If you have, what is your opinion of it ?

Thanks,

i've used it on my black z06 w/ good results and no problems. i've even used it on my 85's "glass" top, and again zero problems. i don't think it will hold up to frequent washings though, but i tend to wax every 2-3 weeks anyway so, longevity really doesn't matter -

I tried it but it doesn't get my paint as smooth feeling as my usual wax . I'll stick to my Meguiars NXT It's just as easy to apply and lasts longer.

What I saw on the ad is the fact that it was not suppose to leave residue in seams and body panel crevices. I have used many brands of waxes, but I seem to favor Meguires.

Thanks,

I did not like it at all as a wax.

I did however find a great use for it. It works well as a trim rejuvinator on really old dried out rubber trim on some of my families vehicles that are pretty abused.

the ice and the follow up between works great on my c6. better than zanio does and the meguires. zanio to hard to do always dusty. meguires doesnt even remove water spots. the ice gets off bugs hides swirl marks and darkens scratches cant even see them now. dont no how long it will last but the quick clean up is easy and fast and i have never seen it shine that good

I don't know how accurate it is, but Consumer Reports rated the Meguiars products at the bottom of the heap as far as waxes and polishes go. I thought it was interesting. I use it, but I'm not that crazy about it's performance and shine.

The finish is not as smooth as others, but it does go on and come off easily. I found it also works good on chrome, very easy for in between waxing. The nice part is you can apply to any surface without the dreaded "white residue"

I'm interested in the application on trim.
are you saying it revitalizes old, faded dry trim?
is it any good ar removing old caked on wax on trim? (the awful white door handle syndrome)

I tried ICE on my C6 and was not pleased with the results. It went on easy, but getting it off was more difficult. It left alot of streaks which had to be removed (not easily) with a damp cloth. I don't know but maybe I put too much on.

Overall I was disappointed with the shine. It looked and felt oily, and seemed to attract dust more than other products. I actually think my C6 was shinier before I used ICE.

You're right on the money regarding the black trim. Door handles, rear spoiler, and rear fascia never looked better.

Hi Bugman;
ICE makes old faded worn out trim look like new. As for removing old caked on wax from the black trim I have used an old tooth brush and soft scrub. Also WD-40 works along with the tooth brush.
Try it.
