Default Sneek peak: Extreme paint reconditioning of a Bimmer

I usually don't post cars unless they are purginate to the forum I am posting them on, but honesly I have spent so much time and effort on this one that I just want to share. Here is a little sneek peak..

This is what I had to start with, 18 year old stock paint... Swirled, scratched, oxidized and abused for the cars life

Here are two half and halfs comparing a finished side against the orginal paint...

Here is the finished side in direct sunlight. Pretty defect free for a 18 year old paint job, I think...

I am out of town until Saturday, I'll try to post some complete before and afters then, if anybody is intrested. Otherwise, I'll just leave it at this..

I love doing old paint like that, you can really appreciate the work you did when it comes out so nice.

Hey -- that looks fantastic !
would love to see your pics here, and a description of your process.
Always love to see a good writeup like this - better than buying a magazine. - please post up any more pics you have !

Some random afters...

Here is a couple afters in the garage, the second one is my favorite because the reflection is so clear you can see the indvidual popcorns in my popcorn ceiling...

Engine before

Engine after

Some of the completed interior
