In between washes
I have used Meguiar's Detailing spray before on my '95 Formula when I had it. I usually only used it when I was at car shows. I want to make sure the same stuff that I used on my Formula would be ok on the 'vette. Thanks for any advice.

Thanks for all the advice. I'll look into the Zaino stuff. I've heard lots of good things about their products.

I'm still a fan of Meguiars quick detailer as well - it's a great product.
keep a bottle of either one in your trunk to get rid of bird bombs and such , as soon as you discover them.

Adam’s Detail Spray is the most versatile component in any detail kit. This “Best of Show” winner is a favorite at car shows. Use as a waterless car wash, a clay bar lubricant, or to enhance the depth and clarity of paint, chrome, plastic, aluminum, and glass. Specially formulated lubricants gently remove dirt, smudges, and grime, leaving surfaces with a smooth, ultra-high gloss finish. Use in the sun or shade, and in hot or cool temperatures.
A couple months later I put on another coat.
It just keeps shining as well as any product I've seen on the same color.
The only thing I've needed to use to QD it is a spray bottle of distilled water and sometimes a little Mother's or Meguiar's QD.
Question: Meguiar's QD doesn't feel as slick as Mother's when I wipe it off. Any significant difference in the formulation that would account for that?

All finish protection products wear off in time and Adams is no different but I think Adams products are the best available today. I've been using them for the past 18 months and in my opinion so should everyone else. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

I tried rejex for a while and in *my* case, I found that it didn't protect any better against hard water spots (water from sprinklers) and was almost useless against bird droppings which still etched into the paint.
As for using a QD while using rejex. Why would people use just water on a vehicle that has light dirt. The whole purpose of a QD is to help lubricate the dirt so it won't scratch your finish while removing the dirt. Since water has no lubrication benefits, your at risk of causing micro-marring on your finish. I would rather stick to a line of products that were developed for automobiles specifically and one that carries a full assortment of products that compliment the finish I'm using.

Take a look at my Avatar picture to the left of this posting. That's what Glare looks like.

I just wash the car every week. I keep the purified water handy if I need to clean off a bird drop, or any other stuff I may pick-up on the road. If applied as directed, and don't use anything else on top of it, or under it, it should protect your paint well. It's a stand-alone product, and in my case, I don't see the need to spend more money on an assortment of other products that won't benefit me in any way, more than what I'm getting by using RejeX alone. Granted, a true QD is good, I'm not saying or implying not to use one, I just simply haven't had the time to test the ones normally recommended here. I tend to believe that a good QD that will be compatible with RejeX would be something like Glare, FK425, Z6, JK Glos, Adams' or some other QD that are used on a line of sealant products. At best you need just one QD.
Hopefully, I will post the results of my RejeX test this week -time permitting. I never experienced any hard water spots, or any paint damage cause by any contaminants in 13 weeks. As they say, people may experience different results, which is pretty much directly related to how much knowledge people have in detailing basics, which I'm about average I think, but good enough to know how to apply my products.

I seem to remember you mentioning that you use plain water to wash your car and on occasions use soap, which is not a good idea either.
as it can also cause scratching.Ok, so I'm curious now, if rejex protects against bird bombs and water spots, why would you carry a bottle of distilled water to remove them ? If rejex is going to stop them from etching your paint then there wouldn't be any need to remove them ? Seems you're talking in circles.
And just for the record, I'm not talking rain spots, those come off easy. I'm talking hard water spots that get baked into the finish in the sun. I haven't found ANY product that would protect my vehicles from that. If you do a simple search, you'll see others mentioning that they had similar issues with rejex not protecting their vehicles from bird bombs and hard water spots.
And please...don't start any of your bs with me again. I'm over that. Thank you-Goose
Is it your statement that a vehicle coated with rejex will prevent a bird bomb from etching the paint if left on the finish over a period of time ?
