I have alot of free time this week and would like to clean the car...the car is looking good...but i wanna put another coat of wax on...i am pretty sure that there is still a layer of wax on it(just a few spots that are missing)...if i were to wax again, would it be a waste of time/$ to put a polish on the car before i wax if there is already a coat of wax on the car?
Does it spend a lot of time out in the sun or rain ?
If it's been a while since the last coat of wax, *I* would give it a once over with a clay bar if it hasn't been done in a while, then hit it with the polish, topped off by a coat of wax.

I don't think it'll be a waste of money to apply a polish now. Quite contrary, it will make your surface look even better for your final coat of wax, or whatever you're using.
I would recommend giving RejeX a try. You will not be disappointed.

Since it is 85% in the prep work I would re-polish the car until you have it looking good and scratch and swirl free and then wax it.
I actually stopped using wax years ago since it never gave me the look I was looking for and has very little durability and switched to a sealant like Zaino. You may want to look into this especially if you do not like waxing your car often. I also feel it gives me a better look and better protection.
I guess i left out some info...i waxed and stuff two and a half weeks ago and it is never parked outside for more than an hour...but i did get caught in a pop up thunderstorm a week ago...i use nxt btw

Ok, my next question refers to your original post. You mentioned there were a few spots missing from the original coat of NXT. Did you manually remove them ?
I've tried NXT paste in the past. While it did look pretty good on my black 02 coupe, I found the durability in this hot Florida sun to be really lacking. My car is garaged during the evenings and the days I'm not using it. Even with the limited exposure to the elements, *I* found the durability I experienced to be below average at best.
I then tried rejex. rejex has good durability but it made my car look like plastic. I wanted more depth to the paint. I then tried Zaino and was very pleased with the results. It had the depth I wanted and they also carry a full line of products made to work specifically with each other so there was no guess work involved.
If you're going to stick with NXT, I would just clay, polish then wax.
If you are using NXT it is probably already gone. I would definetly repolish and rewax. I would also definetly look for something more durable as NXT has the worst durability out of anything I have ever usd includong Glazes.
There are a lot of better sealants on the market such as Zaino, Klasse, Rejex just to mention a few. Do your research and pick whichever one seems best for you.

I highly doubt that it is gone by now....the look of the car is too nice...
can someone recommend an interior cleaner that i could pick up at a target or an autozone? I dont want it to be too wet looking, but want it to darken a little
