Two things

Water spots. Fortunately there's a good base of Zaino on the car, but there is still little spots there after a good scrubbing with Zaino car wash. Fortunately a quick blast of Z2 seemed to take care of the residual. I'm still a bit concerned though. Not cool.Second...........Is Zaino cool for a polished wheel?? I'm thinking if it is I'll put some good coats on my new Machine Faced ZO6 wheels prior to having the tires mounted, so help keep down on brake dust after installation. Good idea?

Man.......Zaino to the rescue. I just decided to go slap a quick coat of Z5 on the car for the interim until this weekend. Spots are gone. I'm a bit relieved at this point.
My point--- I'm glad the car looks better, but I sure wouldn't depend on z2 nor z5 to remove spots in the future. If you want to stay in the Zaino line - try Zaino PC Fusion (the only abrasive product in Sal's lineup) --- best if used with a rotary buffer. With a ROTARY it will work nicely, though I've never been able to get results with my PC.
Best advice is to remove the water ASAP, hopefully before it spots. If the spots are on, use Z6 as a quick detailer, with cotton towel, to remove them ASAP before they can etch (erode) the clearcoat.
And sure - Zaino is great for any smooth surface. Take the wheels off the car once or twice a year and coat them, and it will make washing easier in the future. Also get an EZ-Detail brush to make it easier to clean the wheel barrels each week , before the brakedust can erode and pit the wheel surface

As for the spots, I'm pretty sure that the combination of the wash and then polish coat got them cleaned up because I see absolutely no residual traces of them now that I"ve had some light. Unfortunately, I don't always have the time to up and dry the car every time it rains. I need to break down and get a good cover and a bit tarp for the anti-weather double whammy.
As for the Z-PC, I'd LOVE to have the car professionally cleaned up, but don't have the stones to try it on my beloved car myself. I need to find someone local in the Southern NJ area who would be willing to go over the entire car for the right price (I mean to have this done anyway because there's some surface scratching that I'd like done away with also). Maybe someday I'll get a PC and learn on my black car with the trashed paint, but for now I'd rather just pay someone to do the Vette right.
