Being unable to drive it, my 2000 convertable sat covered in the driveway for about five weeks. After several record rain falls I removed the cover to find mildew spots on the top. After trying regular car wash and one cleaner just for convertable tops they are still there. Can anyone help???????
I tried the laundry product "Shout" one of the other members recomended with only marginal sucess.
no - not ridiculous.
on white, you can get away with anything - try dilute bleach - it's great for mildew. Also, just straight Ivory soap ( very alkaline ) rubbed right on the roof and scrubbed wth a brush might work.
If the top is white, you don't have much risk in trying these things. Then once spots are gone of course - make sure to apply raggtopp protectant.
if the household remedies do not work, yes, by all means, use the raggtopp cleaner. if that doesn't do it, it might be time to hire a torch from New York, and get the insurance money
