Just received the PC kit from Autogeek. I've read the literature that came with it, along with a ton of posts on this forum. I've recently had some results with Meguiar's #7 + #26. As my finish reflects the daily driver nature of my black '00 coupe, I realize I will have to go to more aggessive products in the future to get better results. However, I'd like to start with the #7+#26 combination first. A couple of questions: 1) which pad with which product (orange, white)...2) what speed with each product...and 3) can the PC be used to remove product? Thanks in advance.

You'll find pad and speed suggestions here:

#7 with a polishing or finishing pad speed 4-5. #26 with a finishing pad speed 3-4.

If you have bonnets, you can remove product with the PC.

What type of bonnets, how do you attach them, and where to purchase? Thanks for the info.

Most places that sell microfiber towels will sell bonnets. You just place them over a pad.

I find that they "cake" up too quickly and are generally more difficult to use than removing product by hand.

the black pad that comes in the autogeek kit will do perfectly for your glaze and for the wax as well. (as ZaneO said - the "finishing" pad). I really found that application of #26 with the PC does a fantastic job, and cuts your time of application by about 75%. You'll be able to just zip around the car in a few minutes.

But REALLY be sure to put blue painter's tape on your trim, and on the bottom of your cloth top if you have one. That #26 ( and all carnauba products) will really make a mess of your trim and convertible roof if you don't.

post up some pics when you're done -- I really love the wet #7/#26 look !
