Default Anyone tried...

Has anyone here tried the Turtle Wax ICE wax on their cars? Just was wanting feedback on the product in real world situations. I have a black car, so take that into consideration. Thanks!!!
BTW, have heard the Zaino vs Adams arguements, but whats really best for a black car?

I have just used regular turtle wax on my black 2005 coupe, and keep it clean with a California Duster. It just glows to me, and everyone comments on how shiney it is.

I used it on my C5 and then relegated it to the wife's car... Didn't care for the way it felt going on the Vette

Silicone oil + frangrance = not on my vehicles.

I bought some, played with it for a few minutes then dropped it in the trash can. Not the type of product for me.

You might want to do a search on it. It got some talk over the summer months. A number of people have tried it.

Yeah I tried it and I hated it. Imagine taking a bottle of baby oil and spreading it on your paint, then try to buff it off. To me, that is what it felt like plus it attracks dust and other airborne particles like you wouldnt believe. Now, there have been other users who swear by the stuff and kudos to them.....it just is not for me.

Check it out for yourself, you may like it and then all is well.

Search. There are plenty of threads on this. Most people, including me, hate it. The durability was horrible. Never again.

I have never tried Ice...probably because I already heard the negative aspects from many forum members..for a black/dark blue Vette..try Megs..Mirror Glaze..#26 Hi Tech Yellow Wax.I just used it on my very dark blue Shark...and it looks great...without the oily residue of NXT..

I've used Meguiars products for 20 years. Have not seen anything better than Gold Class in that time, including Zaino. And nothing is easier to put on and take off. Just my 2C.

I used ICE. It was ok. Made car shiney for about a week. Second time I tried it I topped it was a wax and thought it looked better.

Zaino vs Adams on black. Adams is good if you want the "depth and wetness" look but use Zaino if you want a mirror finish.
