Whats all this I hear about Menzerna? I havn't been throught the car care section in a while, have I missed something? I have a black c5 with a couple small scratches and am thinking about buying a pc buffer for my zaino. Is this stuff for real? If so where can i buy some? Thanks

The Menzerna polishes are great, and they make a full spectrum of products. There are several places selling Menzerna. I've included the link where I got most of my stuff. http://www.topoftheline.com/index.html
You should read through the details first to determine which products you'll need. If it's just light scratches, probably some Intensive Polish and some Final Polish. If they are a little deeper, the Power Gloss on an orange pad works pretty well. Don't think that you'll need a PC for Zaino, it's best applied by hand. But for sure you'll need a PC for the polishes.
I think I'm gonna try out Z PC with an applicator first. If that doesnt work than I will try the menzerna and seal it with Zaino. We'll see tommorow if I'll be adding the M to the collection

Maybe this is just a little confusion with the acronyms, but are you saying that you already have Zaino ZPC (Zaino Paint Cleaner and Swirl Remover)? And you want to apply it with a PC (Porter Cable Dual Action buffer)? If so, yes that's worth a shot. But if you are saying that you want to apply ZPC by hand applicator, save your time. I've never had any success using ZPC by hand. In fact, I'm not a big fan of ZPC even with a machine, but other people have reported better success than me.
One last things, if you use the Menzerna polish and you are going to use Zaino sealant, be sure to wipe down your final polish job with a 50/50 alcohol/water solution to get any of the oils out of the paint before applying the Zaino sealant. Otherwise, it won't bond properly.

Vette clear is hard enough that you aren't going to make a dent working hand.
That's not accurate at all. ZPC works really well with a PC.
I didn't have any luck with it. I think Bugman has also had trouble with it as well. Maybe we didn't push hard enough with the PC, but it seemed like it wasn't getting me anywhere.

ZPC isn't a compound. It's a light to medium swirl remover which finishes down very well. Knowing how hard Corvette clear is, ZPC is best used as a final polish (even with the PC).

I love Menzerna polishes but have to say that they can't do anything that ZPC can't. If you have ZPC jsut stick with that unless you want to go more aggressive and then you could add IP to the regimine before finishing with ZPC.
On a lot of my details I will use 106FF with my rotary followed by ZPC. If you don't have a rotary you could try IP or 3M 39002 followed by ZPC for a more aggressive approach.
But to answer your question Menzerna are excellent polishes, one of the best IMHO.
OK, I tried the Z PC by hand and it worked really well on the more serious scratches, until I took a light directly to the paint. The paint still has fine swirls, nothing too bad. Do you guys think I should buy a buffer and try buffing with the Zaino PC? I want the paint to look factory.

Yes, definitely get a ROB, they are excellent tools for keeping your paint looking good.
I'm gonna buy the porter cable. Does it come with pads, everything I need? Whats the best company that sells pads? I was reading up on these buffers and I'm convinced Just hope I dont mess up the paint
