Default Test Job

OK, I've been offered a detailing job at a local high end used car shop. My test case is a 1967 Camaro. It has minor paint overspray on the steering wheel. I was thinking of using 0000 steel wool to remove it. Does anyone have an opinion?
Thanks

Default Spay 9

I called a local shop that specializes in painting Corvettes, they would use Spray 9 mixed with water

If it's a plastic one, use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Unless it is a polished metal surface, steel wool is a no.

Is this hypothetical? Somewhere along the line someone overlooked a part of the prep for paint, as things like this shouldn't happen.

I would say as a general rule always try the least abrasive method first, then gradually move up.

If it's a painted wheel, which I think it should be, I would use a clay bar for removing overspray.
