I replaced my daily driver Friday (Black 2003 F-150) with a new 07 Eddie Bauer Expedition EL in metallic blue. The F-150 was 4 years old and just ready to turn 50K miles so I figured it was time to trade it in.
After detailing my brothers brand new Bentley recently I wasn't surprised to find the paint on my new truck had very minor swirls. Sad thing is that my truck had a lot less swirls than his 192K dollar car.
I tested a small area using Z-AIO and since the swirls were very minor and light it pretty much removed them without a problem.
I washed with Dawn
Zaino claybar with Z7 and water as a lube
washed with Z7
Dried with my electric leaf blower
Z6 to remove any water spots
Z-AIO X1
Z5pro W/ZFX X2
After my next wash I'll add some Clear Seal as a topper.
Those Expy's are sharp! I really like the color combo you got. I'm assuming dealers are offering killer deals to move these big boys?
The color caught my eye as well. Almost made the mistake of buying another black vehicle then I saw this color.
They're making great deals on them right now. Funny thing is that it gets better gas mileage than my F-150 and my insurance actually went down a few bucks a year so it was a win/win situation.
