i need to get more tire dressing [polish ,shine ,whatever] how about some over the counter product recommendations . yes, i did a search, it was not very satisfying ,i probably didn't insert the correct terminology but tried all i could think of .
I really like the Mother's Reflections. It's not easy to find in all stores but I've had better luck with it than any other. It puts more of a new look on the tire as opposed to a shine or gloss. It also lasts longer than any dressing I have tried.
I really like Meguiars products however, their High endurance tire shine never seems to dry and "slings" off. I have tried just about everything through the years and as far as over the counter stuff I really like Armor All Extreme Tire Shine Gel. It shines real nice and doesn't really "sling" once it dries. After a wash last week I put it on, washed the car again yesterday and didn't have to touch the tires. Just wiped them with a damp rag after drying the car. They're not as shiny as when it was first put on but they still look good. Hope it helps. Best way is to try them yourself and see what you like.
don’t use the tire gel.. i have had bad luck with it. When I have used it in the past the gel gets on the rims and the brake dust sticks to it and it takes a lot to get it off. Also it makes the tires look like you rubbed Vaseline all over them and it takes a lot of scrubbing to get the old gel off. I would recommend 303
I tell you what I think works best and leaves little to no mess, is ADAMS VRT get one of the applicator sponges he sells also to make it mess free, it also wokrs great on the black trim and wipes right off with the microfiber towel.
I have to agree. I used this because I read it was really good. Bought the little applicators at Auto Zone or one of those places and applied it. Didn't drive my car until the next morning to go to church and it did sling it on my car. Don't all the water based products wear off almost immediately?
I use Zaino Z 16. Goes on easy, lasts a long time, doesn't fling off on body, and the tires look great. I also use it on all rubber under the hood, weather stripping, etc.
However, it does sling off onto the fender, etc. Really annoying to see little specks of this on your clean and shiney car. I apply with the foam applicators. Tried using a lesser amount, letting it dry, etc. which helps. But, it still slings off.
I like Black Magic Titanium Tire Wet Gel. I let it dry for about 20 minutes and there wasn't any slinging. I haven't tried to scrub it off yet, though. I've only used it once.

I know everyone has their favorites but he wanted some over the counter products.
By chance I ran into this product when I went to purchase some vintage tires from Coker Tire. It is called BIG CLASSIC and you won't find it in any store. It has that new tire look, not wet look or fake slime look that dirt and dust sticks to. Spray it on and wipe off excess, done. I have used many many others and I like the dry new tire look.
