It worked!!!
Took the haze off the plastic, I followed up the buff job with the Sonus green pad and some Wolfgang paint sealer and buffed the face of the plastic to a nice clear shine.
The whole procedure took me about 30 minutes and two Molson Ice beers for both lens

Just take your time and don't burn the plastic with too much high speed buffing, let it cool down and don't forget to tape the edges so you don't smooth them down Use light smooth strokes across the face of the lens.
