What Removes Road Tar?
Tried a search in the Car Care section, but no results.
Picked up some tar around the front wheel well and a few drops on the drivers door of my white C6. I've heard all kinds of great things about WD-40. Would this work to remove the tar? Any suggestions? The last thing I want to do is spread it around.
Thanks in advance .............

Thanks for the replies. I received an e-mail a few weeks ago about the wonders of WD-40 and I thought I'd seen here somewhere it worked for road tar. Just wanted to be sure.

WD-40 works well for bug removal as well.
The downside to it is you have to re-polish or wax the nose. A small price to pay for efficient removal of those nasty flying critters!

Whichever product you use give it a couple of minutes to work before trying to wipe off. It will demish the amount of rubbing and chance of scratching. Good luck

Thanks again, all. Prior to buying this white C6, I had a white C5. The bugs, etc. were an issue on the C5, but it seems like more of an issue on the C6. More front end surface area?
Anyway, I appreciate your replies. Have a good one.

Get a bottle of Poorboys Bug Squash ... you'll be amazed at what it can do on tar, and bugs in general. You can even add it to wash when dealing with a particulary dirty car or week of bad weather. Trust me this is a hidden gem in the line.
