Default What else do I need?

Ok, so I decided to go with the - Zaino Ultimate Protection Show Car Kit - to start out with. Maybe more than I will need to begin with but i'll figure that out and order more selectively in the future.

So what else do I need to give the car a full service?

What is the best to use to actually wash the car with (not the solution but the tool)?

And what do I use to clean/protect the vinly - the Z-9 and/or Z-10?

And I assume I need some good 100% cotton towels OR some good MF towels to wipe off the polish after applied?

Anything else I will be needing that I am forgetting?

thanks for the comments, ahead of time ...

some ideas for you : http://www.bugmanweb.com - click on "detailing"
Get the sheepskin mitt sold at Walmart - look in the fine print, they are made by a company called "Eurow" .

Not sure what vinyl you're talking about - I don't think there is any vinyl on my C6.
  1. exterior plastic: Stoner's trim shine (like the front spoiler, black plastic near exhaust pipes)
  2. window trim: dielectric grease (recommended by GM)
  3. Interior - dashboard etc: 303 aerospace protectant.
  4. All leather surfaces: Z9 and Z10

I prefer 100% cotton towels.
However for the use of Z8 alone I get less smearing problems if I use microfiber only for that task.

You chose wisely by getting the full kit - now you can sit back and sample all those products at your leisure. You would have just continued to order and try them all eventually anyway because they are all fantastic.

One more thing you should add, however, is Clearseal - really a fantastic product. The Zaino instructions are very complete, and really leave nothing to the imagination. Also you can download my favorite set of Zaino instructions at http://www.bugmanweb.com - click on "detailing". Those instructions are from the http://www.lazaino web site and are the best I've seen.

Here's the quick link:

Thanks for the input ... I guess the interior (C5) is actually black leather then and not vinyl correct? So I can use the leather Z9/Z10 on that? i think that was a brain fart ...

yes, the seats are leather.
don't know what kind of fake plastic / petroleum byproduct they make the dashboard and armrest out of - likewise the door surfaces, but 303 is ideal for all those things.

The zaino leather products are really SUPER - give them a try for the seats and stearing wheel.
