convertable top maintenance
What is the method to care for the top of my vette? I've been just rinsing it when she gets a bath, but I feel like I should be putting something on it for longevity. It's in real good shape-would like to keep it that way!

Your 2001 black top is made of Twillfast MC cloth, made by Haartz.. They recommend Raggtopp cleaner and protectant. That's what I use also.
303 aerospace products makes a cleaner and protectant also, and many people in here have been happy with it.
after the top is treated with the protectant, all I do is
I got about 18 months protection from my first application of raggtopp, before the top started to allow wetting. Some pics for you on web page - click on "raggtopp". No, I don't sell anything

after the top is treated with the protectant, all I do is
- use a lint remover to take off any dirt or dust
- rinse the top with water when I wash the car
- rarely, will brush the top with some auto shampoo when I wash the car, but that's hardly ever
- once a year- re-clean the top with the raggtopp cleaner, dry completely, then re-apply the protectant.

Thanks so much! She'll be getting a bath this weekend, so I'll make sure I get some raggtop. I've just been rinsing it with a bit of water, but this sounds like just what she needs. Thanks again!
