Gone try to fix up my paint on the car over the winter, I’m looking to pick up the PC or the UMD I like the bigger engine on the UMD but I’m not sure with way to go. also what are all the things that I’m gone need including pads and products I don’t want to purchase a kit with 20 things I don’t need jus because it looks like a good deal.

I have a white 97

I like the PC, and the UDM is supposedly a little better? I would get 3-6 orange pads, 2 white pads, and a good polish like Menzerna IP. I would then follow with ZPC as your final polish. Follow the polish with 3 Z5P, 3 Z2P, ZCS, and Z8.
You should probably start with a good claying and cleaning.

Both machines are nice offerings and not enough of a difference to truly pick one versus the other. Pick the one you want, and offers the pricing you want.

You will need a flexible backing plate. You will need at least three pads per car. (orange, white, grey -- Lake Country). You will need a good polish or two (remember polishes come in varying degrees of abrasiveness and not all finish down perfectly). You will also want a good wax or sealant to protect your work.

While the kits seem like alot of product, they are designed to save money and really put everything at your finger tips. Only problem I see, is you might want different product lines. Good luck, your gonna love your polisher and new finish.

But to be clear, you do not want to put on 6 coats of Zaino all at once....

I recommend the Flex XC90 VRG over both the PC and UDM. You'll be sitting there all day with the PC or UDM trying to correct a vette finish in bad condition.

The Flex is between the PC/ UDM and a rotary. Basically, its a high speed DA which will cut a lot faster.

Minimum is the PC (or UDM) and a white, grey, and orange pad with flexible backing plate. Add in a bottle of Menzerna Nano Polish. WOW !
