Default How does Rejex .....

I have used Zanio for years, Love it. I don't care about application time, the vette will be in the garage all winter I need something to do. I do care about appearance and durability. Which Rejex product is best for the Vette?

I would say that Zaino is probably better and I am not a Zaino fan. I do still use rejex. The thing I noticed with Rejex is that it wears off rather quickly but it can't be beat when it comes to car show prep where you have to drive to the show. It is so slick that dirt won't stick to it however within just a few days it's wore off.

I use both but for different purposes. Zaino for paint and RejeX for glass and wheels. Rejex doesn't seem to last as long but if you wax every month that's not a big deal. RejeX requires a 12 hour curing time (if you follow their rules) which Zaino doesn't.

tried both and found zaino to come closer to living up to the ''hype'' . zaino [for me] outlasts rejex by a long time . don't tell anyone but i think zaino lasts best with mothers qd over it .

I have used both and found Zaino to be better in both looks and durability.

I also did not like the fact that Rejex will stain my trim and needs 12 hours to cure properly.

Hmmm, i put Rejex ALL OVER the car including trim and weatherstripping and never had any issues with it staining anything...Rejex only man here, like it, will stay with it...

I have used both but definitely prefer Zaino. Rejex gives a nice shine but doesn't have anywhere near the durability of Zaino. Zaino also has a complete line of products that serve many purposes from making corrective action on paint to leather care, tire care and quick detailing I don't think you can beat the shine of Zaino either.

These sort of threads typically turn into a wax war. I'll try my best using information available from the companies websites and some personal experience with using both.

Which Rejex product is best for the Vette?

There's only one product, it's called Rejex. Unlike Zaino that carries an entire car care line of products which are made to work with each other.

If you're going to compare rejex to a Zaino product, the closest comparison would be to Z2pro.

Z2pro contains UV inhibitors, rejex does not. *From website*
Z2p doesn't stain my black trim, rejex does *from my use*

Both companies state that they work best if applied directly to clean prep'd paint. If you're going to use the rejex, you should really remove any Zaino that you have already applied.

Amount per bottle *from website*
rejex - one 16oz bottle coverage - 4 economy or sports cars applying a single coat

Z2p - one 8 oz bottle coverage - 20 corvettes applying a single coat

Cost per bottle *from website*
Rejex - 16 oz bottle = 19.95
Z2p - 8 oz bottle = 14.95

*From personal use*- I still use rejex on my chrome and glass, but not on the paint. I found it gave a somewhat plastic look to it on the paint and did stain my trim. But it looks excellent on chrome.

Durability - From testing both, I found that I got about 4-6 weeks more from Z2p then I did Rejex.

I say try Rejex so you can make up your own mind since everyones opinions are different and only you know what looks good to your eyes. Remember if you do use it, to remove your previous application of Zaino so the rejex can bond directly to the paint.

No need for these threads to turn into a war of words.
I can't comment on Rejex as I have never used it, but if you or anyone likes it, so what? It's your/their choice/car taste etc.
If you really want to spend some time, I would say get a PC and spend some time polishing. I have used orange pads with MIP followed by ZPC, which is a great base for the Z Sealants.
Then a few coats of each Z5/Z2.
Whatever your choice of sealant, this winter gives you plenty of time to bring that shine to perfection.
End with ZCS and Z8 =

I use both, Zaino on my Red F150 and RejeX on my wifes Silver Toyota with over 110,000 miles. I always properly prep before I seal.

I did the wifes car about 3 months ago with Rejex and it still beads very well. No hint of any diminish at this point.

I'm a bigger Zaino fan personally as I like the way I can build up the layers instantly and not have to wait 12 hours to cure.

Both leave exellent slickness and long lasting durability but you can layer with Zaino and not with Rejex.

There are several on this forum that have layered with Rejex...I myself have three layers on and my car's only a couple months old...1700 miles on the ODO...multiple coats of rejex are possible, but it may be a bit of a pain having to wait 8 hours between coats.

I'm talking about back to back layering just like I said. You cannot layer back to back with RejeX and you will have to wait longer then 12 hours if it's cold or real humid out as the curing will take even longer.... I don't have that kind of time.

I'm an equal opportunity car care products customer and have used both Rejex and Z-AIO. Things I've noticed about both products:

1.) Rejex seems to add more color depth & pop to my black C6 hands down. I'm sure this could be remedied by using either Z-5pro or Z-2 with some grand finale spray but for a LSP Rejex is pretty good stuff.
2.) Rejex works better on glass and lasts a little longer. I use it instead of Rain-X.
3.) Z-AIO is definitely easier to apply and remove. You need to go thin on applying Rejex or you will find yourself needing a QD to help buff it out.
4.) If you need a slightly abrasive product, Rejex will not help you here, Z-AIO is the way to go.
5.) Both products might require an extra buffing step if you apply in higher humidity. This is especially true with Z-AIO IMO. Rejex also requires a longer curing time so keep that in mind.
6.) You can layer Rejex but you're not going to get much from doing so. Zaino products are better designed for this.

I recently used my PC with Z-PC Fusion to polish out swirls and then applied Rejex. Normally I probably would have simply applied Z-AIO and be done with it. Next time I will probably go with Z-5pro or Z-2 since I didn't have any at the time.

I say give them both a try and see what works best for you.

ZAIO and Rejex are not apples to apples. ZAIO is designed as a mild cleaner with sealant ability and the durability will not be as long as the Rejex. ZAIO is meant to be followed up with Z2 or Z5 or ZCS.

The Z2 or Z5 and Rejex is apples to apples.
