I have a 06 Z06 with about 37,000 miles. Any ideas (aside from a new one) on how to get rid of the ultra small "sand stars" that have accumulated on the windshield? In direct sunlight it looks like it has been sandblasted (which I guess is correct). Is there a polish or anything that will act on the windshield like various products do for the paint? I have tried Zaino glass polish but didn't see any difference.
Thanks.

I use Autogeek's DP brand of Glass Restorer, but Zaino is supposed to be one of the best; I'm surprised you didn't see better results. Did you apply it by hand or by machine? The 'Geek also has a PC pad made specifically for polishing glass. I got one recently but haven't tried it yet.

I applied it by hand. Maybe I wasn't giving it enough pressure...I put it on like I do Zaino on the paint. The only issue that I had with that was that the product gets into those miniscule stars and then leaves a "white dot" that is real hard to get out. It's almost like I need something that acts like a PC does on swirls in the paint.??? I don't know if I'm even explaining this correctly, so any advice helps.
Thanks
You should be applying glass polish similar to metal polish or plastic polish, if you've ever used those. Apply a small amount to a pad or MF cloth and rub it in with pressure until the product dissipates; you shouldn't be applying and removing like a traditional Zaino product (e.g., Z2, Z5).
Here are the products I've purchased for glass polishing with the PC:
From: Ponte Vedra Beach / London State: Dazed and confused
Lake Country 5.5 Inch Glass Polishing Pad:
If you look closely at this pad you can see tiny sparkles within the foam. These are the glass polishing abrasives manufactured right inside the polyurethane foam. The abrasives support the polishing action of the glass polish to refine the glass to a smooth shine while removing flaws. With fewer passes, you will see faster results and smoother glass –

Keep in mind, those products are both used with the Porter-Cable 7424 polishing machine (DP Glass Restorer you could apply by hand, but you're probably just as well off using the Zaino stuff you already have).
