I post a week or so back that I had the rock chip in my hood. I haven't used touch up in quite some time. I had the wife pick up the paint at the dealer for me. When she gave it to me I noticed that it had like a ball point pen tip. Has anyone ever used this tip?
I have and I really didn't like it. I couldn't get the paint to come out at the rate I wanted, so I put a small amount on a plastic lid from a coffee can and used the smallest brush I could find at a local hobby store. Clean the chip out so the paint will stick and layer a small amount of paint(took me about 4 small layers to fill mine in)Be sure to let each layer dry before adding the next. I found the key to this is patience. Mine isn't perfect, but it is now barely noticeable. Wish I had before and after pics, but I don't. Good luck!
Take a clean cloth with and dab a small amt of terpentine on it and rub the area where the chip is located.
Apply a dab of touch-up paint to the chip. You'll kind of see a blob at first buy it will slowly recess into the chip. Let the pain dry for about 2 or 3 minutes.
Now take the cloth with the terpentine and rub across the new paint to level it at much as possible. Try not to rub the paint out of the chip.
Now add a second layer and so on until the paint is smooth and level across the chip. If you happen to rub too much off, just start again.
Good luck, this worked well for me and no one else seems to know the chip was there unless I point it out.

I aslo dont add cleacoat when touching up my MS metallic paint, I found it tends to make the touch up darker than the actual paint.
I got the GM paint with the ball point tip for my EB coupe. For me, it seemed to work OK on some road rash on the front bumper. If you look, you can still find the chips, but if you're not too ****, it seems to be OK. The only problem, is that the paint dries out on the ball point, and you have to use thinner to loosen the dried up stuff.

I dont use the GM brush or ball point, both too big for little chips. Just take that brush and take the wet paint off it with my toothpick and tiny artist brush.

I find the artist brush the best applicator. I have a tiny tip brush for small chips, and a slant flat kind (still small but some width to it) for larger chips. Keep some mineral spirits or turpentine handy for mess-ups...that way, you can be less stressed about screwing up. And, have patience.
