Does anyone have any concerns about using a quick detailer like Meguiars Quick Detailer Mist & Wipe, for just a small amount of touch up.
I have always flushed my cars with plenty of water before washing with a sponge or cloth, and I' m somewhat concerned about using this product.
The instructions seem to address my concern about rubbing the dirt into the paint, and I have noticed it is used a lot at car shows.

I think they work great there are many of these quick detailers on the market and I have found most of them to be fine, I prefer Adam's but any of the major brands should be fine.
I use a California duster first and then a quick detailer. I usually use Zaino Z6 but I have used Maguires with good success as well. Check out the car care forum for a lot of great information on keeping your beauty beautiful.
QD's are fine in the right situations. I've had excellent results with Mothers, Meguiars and now Zaino. But they aren't a replacement for a wash on a dirty car.
Also, I recommend you not use a sponge when washing. It is basically a solid surface material and there is no place for dirt particles to go and you end up dragging the dirt across the paint. You should use only a thick nap wash mit or towel that will keep the dirt away from the paint. Just a suggestion.
You might want to ask this over in the car care section. I've used Megs Quick Detailer and their new Ultimate QD and personally I think UQD is a lot better and has more lubricity.
But with that being said you can get a gallon (8 spray bottles) of their Last Touch detailer which I think is overall a better product for about $20 that should last a long time.
My 07 is a daily driver. When I get home in the evenings, I hit it with the California Duster and follow that up with Adams Detail Spray. Very happy with the results and I haven’t seen any “scratches” on the paint yet.
I use a California Duster and Adams detail spray (for spot touch ups only) between washes. As to your question, you'll find detail spray is widely used, especially by folks who show their cars. Its not a problem.
No concerns at all. I use Meguiars quick detailer inbetween washes to keep the dirt down. I use a California duster after trips to take the minor dust and dirt off and a quick spray and wipe with the quick detailer.
To each his own, but a lot of what has been said would make me nervous. It sounds to me that quite a few people are over using the Ca duster, and some their QD. They both have their places, but they both also have their limitations.
I use both, but tread carefully.
