It will vary a little bit. You can either clean the pad as you go, or have at least two. You can give it a good cleaning, wring it out, and then install the pad and turn it on low to fully dry.

you'll do fine, if you are just doing one car a day (not a pro detailer) if you have two orange pads. For the most part, you wouldn't be doing the entire car in one day - you'd just be hitting the trunk or the hood when you notice they are getting scratches.
