I'm going to pick up a tube of the perfect it compound at walmart and try it out on my GF's neon which has pretty bad swirls in it.
I just want something cheap-ish and local....so we'll see how it does on a lake country orange pad.

I suggest the 3M extra cut compound 05936. It can be buffed till its dry and wipes off very easy.
For a finishing polish the 3M ultrafina 06068 is the best finishing polish out there with the 3M blue foam pads.
What other polishes do you have?

ive got the 39002, but ive read a couple of your details and planned on getting some perfect it 3000 6060 and 6062 and the ultrafina, but all ive have is a pc right now. I would like to get a makita but have no experience in using a rotary. Thanks again for the help your work is awsome!!!
