That depends on which one you are asking about. The small white Ultimate Wipes seem to loose their "plushness" rather quickly, so I use them for cleaning only. The larger gold towels hold up very well, and I like their waffle-weave drying towels. I also have some very plush towels from Cobra that I use strictly for the "last touch" buffing.
I'd rather spend more and get something that wont scratch if that was the case though.
I've got small little micro-scratches throughout the clear in certain lighting and I fear its from poor microfibers in the past, so I'm trying to avoid adding more.
i just hit up the car with NXT spray wax with their gold towel... i went over it with their NXT detailer to "enhance" the gloss as stated on the bottle and it enhanced the swirl marks. Grrrr...
Stay away from the cheap towels. They are cheap for a reason. Take a look at the Adams MF towels. They are softer than anything I've tried. Having said that I have not tried the Cobra towels. Easy does it.
Buying towels cheap and buying cheap towels is different, lol.
