I use Z6 after a Z5 coat - doesn't hurt anything IMO
No, it definitely will not hurt anything and removes any residue that did not wipe off perfectly leaving the finish beautiful. I usually won't do the entire car between coats but if ever it does not look perfect after wiping or if it is not wiping as nice as I would like (e.g. I am in a hurry and wipe before 100% dry) a quick wipe with Z6 and ALL is well.
I also have a 50/50 mixture bottle of Z6 for when it is real hot out or if the finish is warmer than I like that I will use occasionally.
I apply Z6 BEFORE using Z.
Ever so lightly, spritz a little on a panel before applying Z5/Z2.
I will also go over the car with Z6 when done. Again, VERY small amount of Z6.
