I was Meguiars user. Still will use the Cleaner wax and polishes..
But as far as my wax, I just moved over to Pinnacle Souveran. Little pricey, but an unbelievable shine...
What brand wax do you guys use on your 'vettes? Thanks
I havn't used wax based (carnuba, etc) for the past 15 years. I prefer the acrylic type sealant products because of their ease of appplication and no white residue around emblems etc. One problem however; my supplier who also sold his products to many show motorcycle owners, aircraft owners and even some famous TV personalities for their collection, closed his business.
In the past few months I read someplace on CF that Chemical Guys sells a product like Adams at a fraction of the cost and it is very similar to their products and sounded like the products I had been getting from my old company???
Have any of you ever heard of or used these Chemical Guys products:
WFS PURE ACRYLIC CRYSTALINE HIGH GLOSS SEALANT -Protection System (Anti-Static), or
WET MIRROR FINISH ULTRA SLICK NON-STICK GLOSS MAGNIFIER-Mirror Perfect Reflections, or
Blitz Acrylic Spray Sealant (Superior Sealant & Wax Booster)
Thanks in advance for the help; I hope the answer to my question will also be helpful to "tankman"
I've tried Zaino, but haven't had much luck with it - for some reason it always turns out blotchy and cloudy for me. The Griot's seems like a good wax, but it is a lot of work to wipe down. I may give the Pinnacle Souveran a try, sounds like it is much easier to work with.
I just polished mine last weekend with Menzerna Super Intensive Polish and finished with a coat of Griot's Best of Show wax:

My dislike of wax based products is partly because everytime someome touches the surface on a warm day the palmprint shows in the wax. This WILL NOT happen with non wax based polishes and sealants
I only use Zaino products. They have a complete system that includes a non detergent car wash, clay bar, non wax based polishes, and gloss enhancer spray. They also make a one step polish that I haven't tried. I've got too much money invested in the other stuff.
