Time to buff?

I was wondering do I have to do the whole detail job in one shot or can I do one panel at a time and drive the car and do the next panel the next night and so forth until the car is complete?

As long as each panel is clean before you buff it (very clean), then you'll be fine. Sometimes it's tough to get a whole car done at once.

as noted you can, but your adding alot of additional time as you would need to wash prior to polishing the next area.

I wash the car throughly before buffing and try to finish the same day. If that's not possible the car stays covered in a clean garage until I can finish it... It's just to much of PITA to keep using the car and washing it until it's done. I simply don't drive it until it's all finished detailing which includes polishing and zaino'd....
