I have always been amazed how many Vettes have spotless engine bays and all rubber products look like the Vette has never been driven. Any tips on how to detail the engine bay. I await with rags in hand.........
All depends on how dirty your engine bay is, but if real dirty, start with soapy water and give it all a good wipe down. Then try something waterbased like 303 and give it another good wipe down, after that you should be good.
For the greasy areas down low around the heads and block I'd get some degreaser but that's the only thing I'd use degreaser for.
try not to use pressurized or forced water. In truth I have never had to use any water at all. Every month I wipe down the engine area with a quick detailer. I then coat all painted items with Klasse AIO. I then dress the lines with 303 protectant, nothing with silicones to attract dirt. I then use Einszett Rubber Stick to dress the surrounds.
The hardest part is the little track area where water sits and can leave water marks. Drying area after each wash helps tremendously and cleaner in Klasse AIO makes them new and shiny.
