Default Best Random Orbital Buffer?

Purchased a Porter Cable 7424 for small spider web scratches and will use Menzerna or Klasse but was wondering if I went with right polisher? What does everyone think? I want to stay with a random to not risk burning paint etc on new Vette. Also, best products for light scratch removal on basically new paint and final polish? Thanks

Lots of folks raving about the new RO from Flex. As far as removing any swirls on Vette clear, I've had great luck with Menzerna SIP/Nano combo.

The Flex is currently the best ROB money can buy. Twice the power of the PC, but much more costly initially. SIP/106FF or 106FA are the polishes to use with any buffer on the Vettes clearcoat.

I used the PC and SIP and it worked great. However, I wasn't able to get all the light scratches out. I put the car in a show after the PC/SIP work and everybody really liked the paint. However, I personally knew there were still some light stuff that I'd like to take out but didn't have the extra power. I considered a rotary but as a novice, I didn't want to take the chance or ruining my finish.

After consulting with the Autogeek staff, I decided on the Flex. The flex allowed me to get all the scratches out.

It really comes down to how detail you want to be. I have a black car, so it shows everything. If I had a white or silver vette, I'd probably just stick with the PC/SIP combo.

$279 is a pretty hefty price tag for a ROB. I say switch if you don't mind the cost. If you think its a bit much, the PC is definitely a good machine. SIP combined with either buffer will definitely make a difference in your vette's appearance.
