Using an Orbital buffer. Questions.
I have a question, I was going through the garage and found that my son has an orbital buffer and I asked him how it works and his reply was he never used it, It doesn't have any instructions and I was wondering what to use with it and the correct steps in doing so, I figure seeing that we have one why not give it a try.
What are the do's and dont's using a buffer?
Thanks in advance.

It is a Craftsman polisher/buffer, It is a single speed unit.
10 in. buffer/polisher with 3 pc. foam bonnet. Rear handle with full front contour and lock-on button. 3 terry-cloth, 3 applicator, 1 polishing bonnet. 1 hand applicator pad, 5 gal. bucket w/wrap.
I'm new to this stuff myself... however, I found a nice guide on AutoGeek's website that could probably give you some basic (and advanced?) pointers on orbital buffer use. See if this helps ya...

these units are not speed adjustible and dont have enough power for any real polishing ability. Best used to remove wax only. A PC is much more valuable and offers all the things this one wont. Tread carefully...
