Pressure Washers
Question regarding pressure washers - at what point are they bad for the paint? I guess that I am considering getting a low-cost home pressure washer... I believe that I've seen 1500-2500 PSI models. My primary purpose was for the wheels and wheel wells, but using it on the paint seems potentially damaging.
Of course, pressure washers is what the car washes use, right?
Opinions, please...

JMHO, but I would think any kind of real high pressure wash is potentially damaging to your car. A good handwashing is the best and safest way of washing all parts of your car.

you can adjust the nozzle to make a wider pattern, and therefore not be as powerful. IMO, pressure washing would just be good for a quick cleaning-maybe wash off most of the dirt. You still need to use towels for a thorough wash job.

There is no reason to go out and get a pressure washer, It is good for doing a greasy engine but you can take it to a car wash bay for that. I would stick with the hose :)
