I recently installed a decent sized compressor in my shop. It's 18CFM with a 60 gallon tank. I figure is enough to drive most air tools I'd like to use.
I've seen a lot of body shops using air ROB and RB. Obviously they are very light and many professional body shops seem to use them. They are even reasonably priced...
Has anyone here used them and if so what is their impression? Would it worth investing some money into some air powered polishing and/or buffing machines?
BTW.. I have both a Dewalt ORB and straight Dewalt RB. Good units and nothing wrong with them. The RB is just a little heavy to use for long stretches!
Go to snapon.com. Then do a comparison of CFM used. Usually Snap on stuff is very good about air usage. We don't need to talk about quality, because they are second to none.

They make sense for shops, enthusiast is better off with electrical tools.
However, this is perfect for wet sanding. Even if you are not interested / do not have need for full panels you could get at least 3" one or nibbler, if not both, to deal with a spot / paint chip once in a while. Let me know if you want me to send you to my Mirka distributor.
